Preparation time: 10 minutes.

Ingredients

450 grams minced or ground turkey meat
225 grams frozen diced onion
450 grams prepared mashed potato
1 small tin (approximately 215 grams) soup of your choice
Salt and pepper for seasoning (optional)
2 handfulls sweetcorn, or other frozen vegetable of your choice (optional)
Cheese for topping (optional)

Method

1. Put the minced/ground turkey meat into an oven proof or pirex dish and spread out evenly.

2. Season with salt, pepper and/or other seasoning of your choice (optional).

3. Add the diced onion and press it into the turkey meat.

4. Add the sweetcorn or other frozen vegetable of your choice (optional and press it into the meat with the onion.

5. Cover with the soup.

6. Top with the mashed potato, and spread out evenly.

7. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees C, (160 degrees C fan assisted), 350 F, Gas mark 4.

8. Place the Salisbury steak in the centre of the oven for 45 minutes.

Note: If using cheese, remove from the oven after 20 minutes. Grate the cheese evenly over the top and return to the oven for a further 25 minutes.

9. Remove from the oven and leave to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
